The Comet of Elijah

Since antiquity, mankind has understood comets as omens from the realm of the divine. Should it not be so, when the Creator who made the whole heavens set the celestial bodies in motion for signs and seasons and days and years?[1] But when a heavenly phenomenon has a divine meaning, how can a person know what it is? What if the message is overlooked?

The Comet of Elijah reveals the biblical identity of comet NEOWISE (literally “new wisdom”), based on factors including the comet’s trajectory and especially the time of its appearance. In this article you will discover which well-known Bible verses speak of this “angel” or “messenger” and what point of decision he brings the world to today.

Comets are particularly interesting when they can be seen with the naked eye, because then the comet becomes a real-life object for daily observation by virtually the whole world. For this reason, comet NEOWISE (or C/2020 F3) popped up in the news on June 30, 2020 with a modest announcement that it could “perform” in July—IF it would survive perihelion. But even so, would this comet signify redemption or doom? The definitive answer to that question comes straight from the Bible, once the comet is identified in the prophecies—which is an easy task with the help of the Orion message and related Bible studies.

Neowise came from the hand of Orion

As you can see from the picture of its trajectory above, NEOWISE came directly out of the hand of Orion. In a sense—just putting the words together—this means “new wisdom is coming from Orion.” Thus, in the name itself, God is pointing to a message of new knowledge that should be learned from the constellation of Orion.[2]

As explained in The Clock of God in Orion, the Bible—especially the book of Revelation—can be understood fully only in connection with the heavens, and the Orion constellation plays an important role as a depiction of Jesus, who has “the seven stars” (i.e. the classical planets) “in his hand” as they travel the ecliptic.[3] But now it gets more interesting because there is a comet in Orion’s hand!

As it traveled “up” from Orion’s hand, it crossed the ecliptic 7 days (!) after the annular eclipse at the same location (see picture), thus suggesting a strong connection to the wrath of God in the harvest signs of Revelation 14 and the ark of the covenant sign of the seventh trumpet. The harvest text for this point in time speaks of an angel “coming out of the altar:”

And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire… (from Revelation 14:18)

And this is related to the judgments of God that are described in terms of the priestly ceremony on the Day of Atonement:

And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. (Revelation 8:5)

These texts are explained more fully in the articles linked above, but the point here is that they apply at the same time that NEOWISE was coming up, and they allude to the destruction of the world by fire,[4] as the world in Noah’s day was destroyed by a flood. Therefore, it is very fitting that God would involve a comet as a sign just before the second coming of Jesus—as many people have been expecting on account of the fact that comets have been associated with the end of the world since antiquity.

Furthermore, calling down (or prophesying) fire from heaven is the characteristic of Elijah, whose modern counterpart is prophesied to come at the end of time:

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: (Malachi 4:5)

Prophesying fire from heaven is the duty of the last Elijah, as often quoted in our articles:

John came in the spirit and power of Elijah to proclaim the first advent of Jesus. I was pointed down to the last days and saw that John represented those who should go forth in the spirit and power of Elijah to herald the day of wrath and the second advent of Jesus. {EW 155.1}

This “day of wrath” is of course described as the day of the world’s destruction by fire.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. (Malachi 4:1)

Note that comet NEOWISE has an inbound orbital period of about 4500 years.[5] This means that its last appearance was near the beginning of Noah’s 120 years of preaching before the flood![6] Perhaps this very same comet was even the reason why ancient civilizations associated comets with doom and the end of the world! But at the very least, its inbound orbital period is a clear indication of what this comet signifies.

Neowise goes to where the angel stands All biblical end-time prophecies are converging; the date of the comet’s closest approach to the earth on July 23, 2020 has great prophetic significance because it points precisely to the date marked in the ark of the covenant sign for the second witness (the second cherub beside the ark).[7] The modern-day “Elijah” is this witness, hence there is a strong connection between comet NEOWISE and Elijah.

But the ancient Elijah was taken up into heaven, and therefore the prophecy of Malachi[8] implies that when Elijah comes, he must come from heaven, in some sense—and therefore there is one Bible verse in particular that especially describes this comet:

And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. (Revelation 18:1)

There are not many (good!) angels in the book of Revelation who are said to come down from heaven, and this one in particular fulfills the role that the end-time Elijah has, in heralding the day of wrath:

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. (Revelation 18:2)

Jesus, the Bread of Life from heaven, also came down to the earth—a part of His sacrifice that is sometimes overlooked—and He appears just a couple of verses later, as you can see from how He calls “His” people:

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Revelation 18:4)

In this chapter, Jesus is working together with the angel who came down from heaven, like how they work together as the covering cherubim over the mercy seat.

The entire constellation of Orion stands as a representation of Jesus, with the four outer stars showing the wounds with which He purchased His people. Therefore, He calls them “My people” with all right! He was the Forerunner, the first anointed One, whereas Elijah (the second anointed one) is only represented as a comet, small by comparison: a created being who is also held in Jesus’ mighty hand. The duty of every messenger is to point to Jesus and the great sacrifice that shows His infinite love. Thus, the angel of Revelation 18:1 (“Elijah”) just follows in His footsteps in coming down to earth, “to do the will of Him that sent him” to prepare God’s people to follow their Forerunner up to heaven.

The preparation of God’s people includes purifying the character for the time of wrath. The complete fall of Babylon and her utter destitution marks the beginning of God’s wrath, just as His judgments upon the Amorites[9] were held back until their sin reached totality.

But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. (Genesis 15:16)

God warns the world repeatedly through His messengers and heavenly signs. He does not destroy anything good, but when corruption has permeated a society that utterly refuses to heed His warnings, then His time to destroy has come, as it was in the days of Lot:

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (2 Peter 2:6–7)

With all of these biblical associations, God is using this comet to direct us to His word, to study and gain wisdom from the message that was given to the “angel” of Revelation 18:1. Much more of this heavenly wisdom can be found in The Mystery of the Holy City, which even explains how this messenger angel actually came to the earth, and when.

Neowise has wings

Doesn’t NEOWISE even resemble an angel with “wings” in this photo?

The comet itself, however, is just a sign to signal that the time has now come for this angel’s glory to fill the earth; the heavenly message that he was endowed with has been in development for many years—and even had its beginning in past generations.[10] Seeing all these biblical associations, wouldn’t it be “wise” to investigate some of the “new wisdom” this Elijah-comet has to offer?

Elijah’s Mission

Interestingly, comet NEOWISE was not visible until after its closest approach to the sun, due to the sun’s brightness and the comet’s proximity to it during perihelion on July 3, 2020—the most dangerous part of its orbit. When the comet emerged, however, news reports excitedly drew attention to the fact that NEOWISE survived perihelion and had become visible to the unaided eye around July 7, 2020, with headlines like the following:

CBS Miami – Look Up! Newly-Discovered Comet NEOWISE Now Visible With Naked Eye

Such words are reminiscent of what the Lord said about the end of the world:

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

The appearance of the comet was just a couple of days after the penumbral eclipse of the moon on July 5, which, in the ark of the covenant sign, symbolizes the second table of the law being opened to the view of the world’s inhabitants. Therefore, the comet appeared only after that, because Babylon’s complete fall is logically only announced by the angel of Revelation 18 once the law is on full display and the transgressions of the world are seen plainly in contrast to its precepts.

In the context of visibility, it is also notable that the comet appeared just a day before July 8, which is also an important date on the clocks of God. In fact, the date is so important that this publication was planned concerning July 8 even before anyone (including we) knew whether this comet would emerge from the sun intact, let alone when it would become visible to the naked eye. But God’s timing is perfect, and His signs and wonders follow His people.

Nevertheless, the Lord’s counsel (and past experience) informs us that no matter what we would have published beforehand, it would not have convinced anyone anyway, because for most people, “seeing is believing”:

And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. (John 14:29)

We have learned that very few people believe even when there is something to see—much less beforehand. It is tempting to want to perfectly predict the future before it happens, but that is ultimately the divine prerogative, and created beings are to glorify God, not themselves. However, we are to strive to know God and discern the future insofar as we can do so through His Word, and therefore Bible study is so important to the life of the Christian, especially in these last days when the final battle is raging. But prophecy is foremost about Jesus, as again He said:

Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he. (John 13:19)

God is the only one who knows the end from the beginning and reveals His plans to His servants, and this article is to show how God is working His plans out, long in advance. We must not forget that although we are to watch and pray, God gives prophecy so that when it comes to pass, belief will follow. It is His wisdom that is to shine, not human wisdom, and to God belongs all praise, honor, glory, and power for His divine leading in the lives of human beings.

This was also the attitude of the ancient prophet Elijah, who labored to turn the hearts of God’s people back to Him; he did not seek to magnify himself, but to magnify the Lord:

And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. (1 Kings 18:36–37)

In many ways, this article follows in the vein of the series entitled The Elijah Promise, which identifies the “last Elijah” that was prophesied in the book of Malachi to prepare the people for “the great and dreadful day of the Lord.”[11] There were other Elijah-like figures at various times in history, of course, going as far back as John the Baptist who prepared the way for Jesus’ first coming, but we are dealing here with the modern-day Elijah figure that comes to make the important announcement of the day of wrath and the second coming of Jesus—therefore referred to as the “last” Elijah.[12]

And in that sense, July 8, 2020 has a lot of significance because it is the anniversary of an important “Elijah” event...

The Carmel Challenge

Exactly five years ago (as of July 8), the Christian world was summoned to a spiritual mountaintop for a showdown that was patterned after Elijah’s experience on Mt. Carmel. The challenge was directed toward the leaders of the Protestants churches, and one church was especially singled out as the prime example of apostate leadership: The Seventh-day Adventist Church with its Ahab-like president. This challenge called the entire Christian world to a decision point on present issues of fidelity to God. It happened just after the United States Supreme Court effectively made sodomy the law of the land, and thus the question of marriage and the family was of paramount importance to the churches, because of legal implications.[13]

This history is vitally important today, because the coronavirus has swept away the attention of everyone—especially God’s own people—to the point that they are on the verge of sinning against God without even understanding what is happening to them. Many of you are asleep and being manipulated by the “two party system” of thesis and antithesis, caught between two emotionally charged opinions: to take the vaccine for the good of society to return to normalcy or to defy the government and rebel against the establishment. Are you sure you can make a correct decision, given the options? Or is it a catch-22 situation that requires a higher plane of thinking, in order to avoid being “played” by the forces involved? One must understand the trick to avoid being caught in it!

A similar trick played out five years ago, and the lessons are highly instructive. It involved the question of women in leadership, which was also a problem in Elijah’s day. It was the strong character of Jezebel, after all, that dominated Ahab and furthered the apostasy in Israel. For the churches of today, the question went beyond the ordination of women to the pastorate, to include LGBT acceptance as another condition for receiving 501(c)(3) benefits, and therefore all conventional churches that matter in any way have gotten on board with the LGBT agenda, including the Seventh-day Adventist Church as the case in point—the last hold-out among Protestants.[14]

So, what happened on July 8, five years ago? We’ll come to that, but first some background: the Adventist Church normally holds its General Conferences once every five years. As the sitting president, Ted Wilson’s term began at the 2010 GC Session in Atlanta, GA, which was the same year when the Orion message began, as God’s last warning to the world, first directed especially to that church.[15] Then, five years into the message came the next GC Session in San Antonio, TX, along with the 2015 Carmel Challenge that was scheduled per the Orion clock for July 8, 2015—which, as we now know, was almost exactly five years before comet NEOWISE became visible. So, instead of another GC Session and another round of apostate leadership, a “new wisdom” is becoming visible to people everywhere. Thus, comet NEOWISE is partly God’s way of bringing attention to the Carmel Challenge, which is to be answered by “fire from heaven” very soon.

But what happened five years (one GC cycle) ago was so deceptive (we’ll come to that) that God wanted to allow people time to understand the issues involved and to see through the tricks of their leaders, so He allowed a delay in the answer to Elijah’s prayer—a delay that was also prophesied in the Bible.

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. (Revelation 7:2–3)

On the exact same day as the Carmel Challenge, the deadline was passed for completing the “Iran deal” (JCPOA) to avert disaster over Iran’s nuclear agenda under the Obama administration.[16] Thus, in a very tangible way, it could be seen not only that “fire from heaven” was hanging over the world like the Sword of Damocles for the moral decisions that were being made on the issues of family and same-sex marriage, but also that a literal and identifiable delay was then put into action, namely JCPOA, which is also presently falling apart, signaling the end of that delay and the commencement of the fire of God from heaven at the word of the modern Elijah.

The Mind Trick

In terms of the clock of God in Orion, the Carmel Challenge of July 8, 2015 happened at the sound of the sixth trumpet of Revelation. The following illustrations from the 2015 publications show this—the images were meant to illustrate the correlation to Elijah’s drenching of the altar with four barrels of water (corresponding to the four outer stars), three times (over three cycles of the clock). We will come back to this concept later in more detail, but right now the point is to see how the Carmel Challenge came at exactly the point when all 12 barrels of water had been poured out:

The pouring of Elijah's twelve pitures

The dates of Elijah's twelve pitchers

Elijah's challenge on the original (preparatory) trumpet clock The way the clock works, the star Saiph is the beginning point, and thus the original (preparatory) trumpets were counted clockwise around all the stations of the clock beginning from Saiph. In this way, the sixth trumpet corresponded to Rigel (as shown at right). Based on the exact alignment of the clock,[17] this fell on July 8, 2015, which was the basis for the timing of the Carmel Challenge. This timing was a miracle in itself, because it pointed to the exact day within the weeklong General Conference when the Church would conduct the most important vote of the whole Session. It was billed as a vote on women’s ordination, but it turned out to be a crafty trick to dupe the impassioned majority of conservative voters into changing the Church’s power structure—a feat that could only be accomplished in a General Conference Session according to the Church’s bylaws.

Thus, all the passion of the worldwide body of Bible-believing Adventists was harnessed to call for a king to rule over them, much like in the days of Saul the son of Kish, while the vote had no effect concerning the issue of women’s ordination that really mattered to the people. Why did the leaders do this? Because to cooperate with government laws (and secure government tax-relief benefits), the church had to have a top-down system of governance—which its constituents would never have knowingly voted for!

Deceit on this scale—pulling the wool over an entire church’s eyes—is such a despicable low blow coming from such a high moral office that it almost defies comparison! But using sleight of hand on the blind does not escape the eye of the Almighty.

Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen. (Deuteronomy 27:18)

And that brings us to what is happening five years later—which will be their just deserts. The GC Session of 2020 had to be canceled because of the coronavirus, and the rescheduled event for 2021 is also in the divine crosshairs.[18] The fact that the General Conference Session had to be postponed is already a victory for Elijah, who prophesied that the 2015 Session would be the last in history. But the broader lesson for today is that the same trick is being done again by another moral office: the departments of public health.

You, the people, are being impassioned either for or against mandatory vaccination without realizing that your destruction is being accomplished in an entirely different way than with the question of vaccination, just like in the deplorable example of the church! No matter what you do, you’re in a catch-22! The church was led to deny the leading of the Holy Spirit, which was to be ensured through its bottom-up governance, and instead they voted for kingly power, and in the end there was no change in the church’s course with regard to the issue of women’s ordination as a result of the vote. Those who were against it because they stood on a biblical foundation were not helped, and those who were in favor of it were no better off for having voted “against” kingly power. They ALL were led to deny God, one way or the other! The only correct course was to LEAVE THE CHURCH in response to such charades that have absolutely nothing to do with holiness and godliness in any way, shape, or form. (It is already rebellion against God for a church to even think that they can vote on an issue like women’s ordination, for which God’s will is already clearly expressed in the Bible.)

Likewise, on the issue of vaccination, there are two sides. Those who are desperate to get back to normalcy will get the vaccine so they can GET BACK TO THEIR CHURCHES (where the virus supposedly spread in the first place). Not only is this the opposite of Jesus’ call to come out of Babylon, but these are the same churches that abide by the LGBT non-discrimination laws[19] to maintain their non-profit status, and thus the pro-vaccine, pro-church camp will continue to give their tithes and offerings in support of a church that condones what God calls abomination. Not Good.

But those who are rightly concerned about defiling the temple of the Holy Spirit are conscientiously deciding to avoid vaccination, but the problem is that the churches and influential channels are teaching that the vaccine is the mark of the beast, which it is not![20] Please be logical in your Bible study: since when are vaccines administered in the forehead or in the hand? Meanwhile, the thing that really is the mark of the beast is not talked about and kept before the people—so it is out of sight, out of mind, and this will lead to accepting the mark of the beast while rejecting the vaccine. Again, Not Good!

A spiritual battle must be fought with spiritual weapons. In order to combat these kinds of tricks that corner a person to choose the lesser of two evils, a person needs to be on a higher moral plane—and for that, we desperately need the mind of Jesus. We need to understand what is offensive to Him and what is not. He was put into a corner too, by Judas, who gave Him no good options: either He could use His own power to deliver Himself—which would have been an act of selfishness and a complete victory for Satan—or else allow His body—not just the temple of the Holy Ghost, but God incarnate—to be defiled, torn, damaged and destroyed irreversibly (were it not for the resurrection). Think about it: if the Romans used lethal injection instead of crucifixion, Jesus would have been ready to accept it just the same as the consequence of our sins upon Him. Doesn’t this cast vaccination in a different light?

Seeking to save one’s own life is selfishness, and selfishness has no place in the kingdom of God.

Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. (Luke 17:33)

Receiving an injection If wicked people do you harm under any pretense, you can rest in the assurance that they did Jesus harm too, and they will be rightly recompensed in due time, but to seek to save one’s own life is not the way of Christ. Rather, it would be better to bow out of the system—like Jesus did—and start a better one on higher morals. LEAVE THE CHURCHES[21] and their vaccine propaganda altogether and start home or online study groups to seek new wisdom from God and leave the protection of your life to Him. Of course, a person should naturally be careful about what is injected into their bodies, and the COVID-19 vaccine may best be treated as a poison, but if it comes down to force, don’t break “Thou shalt not kill” to protect your personal health, for example! (Peter was rebuked for cutting off the ear of Jesus’ opponent.) Stay under the radar to avoid the vaccine at any cost to self, but take your stand on what matters most to God: His law, the Ten Commandments![22]

Sacrifice is a necessary part of the Christian life. To avert the destruction of souls, a Christian must always be ready to sacrifice for the sake of others, as Jesus and all the holy apostles taught by example in the New Testament. The letters of the New Testament frequently admonish the saints to be obedient to the powers of state in so far as possible without breaking God’s law, so their blameless conduct would be a worthy testimony for Christ. It is every Christian’s work to live such a testimony, and in so doing reach the lost with the message of salvation so that not one soul is missed who could have been turned to righteousness.

The Delay and the Altar

Prophetically, the sixth trumpet (when the Elijah Challenge was made) is unique in that it includes a specific delay to the determined time of its fulfillment, which means the fire and brimstone of the modern Elijah had to have a period of time between warning and judgment (unlike the same-day ordeal of the historical Elijah).

And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. (Revelation 9:13–15)

This already explains why fire didn’t consume the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists while they were in the act of voting in the Alamodome in 2015[23] or why fire didn’t rain down on the Supreme Court of the United States when the justices announced their decision to protect same-sex marriage—and with a little understanding, it also explains when the fire was to consume them: at a specific hour, in a specific month, on a specific day, of a specific year.

One of the most important and valuable lessons that God has taught His people through the ages is… patience. While He seems to be long in fulfilling His promises, we are to occupy ourselves and redeem the time by studying and re-studying His Word and sharing His light with others who are in darkness. In this way, a person grows to know God and understand Him more and more, while the time of the fulfillment of His promises draws nearer.

Consider, for example, the first promise of the coming Savior:

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15)

The promise of the Savior’s victory in crushing the head of the serpent is only now coming to its complete fulfillment as explained in The Summer Threshing. But think of it: that has been a long wait for Eve! When she was pregnant with her first child, she wondered at the seed she was carrying in her womb, and she was surely thinking of the promise of the Lord when she delivered her firstborn.[24]

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. (Genesis 4:1)

Imagine her disappointment when the years rolled by and this supposed child of promise grew up to be the first murderer! At the same time, she was bereaved of her faithful son Abel, who was no longer a living candidate to be the promised seed either.

But did she give up? No, she adapted her understanding of God’s Word and expressed that the Savior had to come from God as a Substitute to accomplish the atonement that Abel certainly could not because he died.

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. (Genesis 4:25)

In this way, the plan of salvation unfolded century after century while the people of God carefully sought the coming Savior, studying every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. In the process, individual characters were refined by the effort to understand the truth.

This has been the experience of God’s people up to the present day when knowledge of the word of God has dramatically increased.[25] As God leads, the truth unfolds in a way that expands and enriches the prior knowledge, just as Eve’s concept of the Substitute expanded upon her understanding of the fact that her seed was to overcome the serpent. God’s promise was not invalidated, but His plan was seen to be broadening.

So it has been in the experience of modern “Elijah.” The effort to mine the truth from God’s word and the cost of giving it to others who do not want it, serves to refine the character. Every delay, every criticism, every doubt is turned into an opportunity to re-study and refine the body of hard-won present truth. This is how modern “Elijah” re-built the altar of the Lord, metaphorically. Every round of the clock adds its history and experience to the one before it.

The twelve stones for the twelve tribes of Israel, with which Elijah rebuilt the altar, stand for the covenant between God and His people. We’ve seen how the ark of the covenant has been unveiled in heaven and the two tables of the covenant put on display. This means that the explanation of Elijah’s altar from 2015 and explained again in 2020 in Time No Longer gains much greater significance today.

Although Elijah in the Bible had repaired a sacrificial altar, the connection to the sign of the ark of the covenant today suggests that we could be dealing with the altar of incense that stood at the door of the Most Holy Place. This is where the scent of the prayers of the saints figuratively ascends in the aromatic smoke that fills the Most Holy Place as a “sweet savor” to the Lord. Has modern Elijah’s prayer been heard?

The sacrifice on the altar After rebuilding the altar, Elijah placed wood and the sacrifice on it, symbolizing the cross and the sacrifice of Jesus. This is generally symbolized in the clock with the throne lines (red) that “cross” at the center where Alnitak (the One who was wounded) represents the great Sacrifice whose cleansing blood was shed while we were yet sinners.[26]

And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood. (1 Kings 18:33)

The barrels of water that were poured onto the sacrifice further symbolize the flow of time in a very specific sequence.

And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time. And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. (1 Kings 18:34–35)

Four barrels were poured, then another four, then another four—and they were all connected with a trench around the altar, just like the sequence of three clock cycles. The procedure was complete when the water, like time, moved around each of the three clock circles.

Four buckets of water, three times

Not only does this sequence of four barrels of water poured out three distinct times describe three cycles of the clock, but the fact that the water flowed into the same trench each time makes this a perfect fulfillment. The trench had a specific measurement that applies to all three cycles involved.

…and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed. (From 1 Kings 18:32)

All three cycles share the same “trench” measuring the same 259 days around. This trench is large enough to contain two measures of seed—such as wheat. If that wheat seed were ground into flour to make bread, it would be something like two portions. Hence, the trench alludes to the double portion of the spirit of Elijah, which “Elisha”, the 144,000, will need for the last cycle of the clock. This also alludes to the seed of the church, which is the blood of martyrs. There is still a work to be done after the events on Mt. Carmel!

Elijah’s Prayer and its Answer

One of the many aspects of the work of the last Elijah has been to decipher God’s heavenly language in the prophecies of the Bible. An entire series of videos is available, entitled The Elijah Signs, explaining the basic biblical principles for understanding heavenly symbolism where it appears in Scripture (one of the key points that distinguishes biblical astronomy from pagan astrology).

For example, Venus (the Bright and Morning Star that symbolizes Jesus[27]) can represent the Sacrifice on the table of the altar in the constellation of Taurus from July 4 to July 10. In that short window, comet NEOWISE became visible right around the anniversary of Elijah’s original Carmel Challenge.

The completed Carmel Challenge sign

At the same time, the moon is in the constellation of Aquarius, who pours out his water like the water that Elijah had poured on the altar. The sun is in the divine (Pollux) twin of Gemini, who represents Jesus Christ as King—and it is even at the position of the sickle (while Mercury is in the kneeling twin). The sun can symbolize the fire from heaven that consumed the sacrifice on the altar and the twelve stones. Thus, the heavens paint a vivid memorial of the entire scene of the sacrifice of Elijah on July 8, 2020, the very anniversary of the Carmel Challenge.

But if Jesus is represented by the sacrifice on the altar, how can He be the King with sickle in hand at the same time? Clearly, the sacrifice on the altar is only figurative of the perfect Sacrifice that was given only once for sin. Thus, the twin with the sickle in hand represents the living Jesus, who commands the slaughter of Ezekiel 9 as covered previously, which corresponds to the killing of the priests of Baal and Asherah in the story of Elijah.

In His great wisdom, God foreknew that the church would devolve into total apostasy at the end of time, and that a recovery plan would be needed. We sometimes refer to this in terms of a “Plan A” scenario and a “Plan B” scenario. In His Word, God allows for every possibility and gives every opportunity for humanity to show faith, to repent, and to change the course of both history and prophecy.

Therefore, God sent the modern-day Elijah to challenge the church on July 8, 2015 in the “Plan A” scenario, and if God’s people had been apt to face the challenge, then the year, month, day, and hour of the sixth trumpet would have fulfilled perfectly, even as the Seventh-day Adventist pioneer Josiah Litch explained it with the round numbers of prophetic reckoning: 360 days per year + 30 days per month + 1 day + 1 hour = 391 days (and one hour), which would be understood as literal time for those upon whom the end of the world is come.

Now to put it together, counting from the Carmel Challenge date marked for July 8, 2015 as the sixth trumpet on the clock, the fire would have fallen from heaven 391 days later on August 1, 2016—the exact date of the sixth plague!

The 391 days of the sixth trumpet in theory

This shows how the clocks are ticking with the Bible and that the sixth trumpet is indeed an advanced warning for a specific—but later—hour, day, month, and year when its terrible consequences will hit.

For “Plan B,” however, God had to take His people “back in time” to fix the root of the problem that started many years ago at another infamous General Conference: the Minneapolis 1888 Session. Although this involves Adventist history again, the same issue is everywhere today in all Christian circles in the form of the conflict between OSAS and those who understand that a Christian must be obedient to the laws of God (and man). It is about the question of what “righteousness by faith” really means! To undo the apostasy seen today, one has to go back in time to the root of the problem, and “try again.”

Regarding the Minneapolis conference, it was said:

God meant that the watchmen should arise and with united voices send forth a decided message, giving the trumpet a certain sound, that the people might all spring to their post of duty and act their part in the great work. Then the strong, clear light of that other angel who comes down from heaven having great power, would have filled the earth with his glory. We are years behind; and those who stood in blindness and hindered the advancement of the very message that God meant should go forth from the Minneapolis meeting as a lamp that burneth, have need to humble their hearts before God and see and understand how the work has been hindered by their blindness of mind and hardness of heart. {14MR 111.1}

How this time-traveling feat was accomplished to figuratively return to that conference is the opening story of the WhiteCloudFarm website, the story of the sacrifice of Philadelphia. In a nutshell, “Elijah” wrought with God a work that accomplished to turn time backwards, in a sense, which resulted in the counterclockwise Orion cycles that have been the subject of study since that time.[28]

The journey back in time involved another trumpet cycle, now for “Plan B,” which reaffirmed the Carmel Challenge with a warning on the new sixth trumpet date of June 3, 2018. There was such an overwhelmingly powerful global sign on that day that it took several articles[29] to convey the magnitude of the message, which did not stop but crescendoed into the great and marvelous sign of the seven last plagues.[30]

For example, the Bible associates Elijah’s prayer with the evening sacrifice:

And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. (1 Kings 18:36)

This sacrificial hour was dramatically confirmed by the eruption of Volcán de Fuego[31] at exactly that hour on the clock when the sixth trumpet came in the loud trumpet cycle. At that time, the relationship between the various clock cycles was not fully understood, but it was clear that God was speaking through the events that correlated to the same sixth trumpet prophecy. The disappearance of an entire village named Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) served as a graphic illustration of the consumed sacrifice offered by Elijah on Mt. Carmel and the scale at which God is speaking today. We live in a global village, and God is contending with the whole world for its sin as well as the Christian world for its apostasy, and the fire and brimstone of that eruption stands for the unquenchable fire that is reserved for Satan and his angels and all those who have rejected God’s salvation.

Logically, then, the new sixth trumpet should point to the new sixth plague, like how the 391 days showed the relationship in the preparatory cycles, right? The following picture illustrates (note the counterclockwise clock direction, in contrast to the “Plan A” case):

The delay of the sixth trumpet in practice

Besides the fact that no global news outlet reported fire from heaven on April 4, 2019, the difficulty has arisen that unlike any other previous cycle of the Orion clock, the plague cycle runs uninterrupted at the same timescale for more than one round, and how can we know which of these rounds the sixth trumpet warning actually points to? The three “hours” of Revelation 18 are involved here as explained in The Hour of Escape, but which of those “hours” is meant?

The solution should be fairly obvious based on the symbolism of Elijah’s altar covered earlier: it must point to a date in the third round, AFTER the altar was repaired and AFTER all four buckets were poured out three times. It was then that Elijah knelt and prayed for God to turn His people back to Him with a demonstration of fire from the sky. Strictly speaking, this would correspond to a point in time no earlier than the Betelgeuse mark, when all four “barrels” had been emptied (right when comet NEOWISE began to come on the scene). Could it happen this early?

Many YouTube prophets[32] have been speaking of a potential rapture event—which could also coincide with the fire of Elijah—and are advising their viewers to watch all the interesting dates in July (e.g. the one remaining in the heavenly sign of the ark of the covenant). For those who are paying attention, there is no question of whether we live in prophetic times, but the challenge is knowing what to look for and how to navigate in these times.

But following the same logic as in the preparatory trumpet/plague relationship, the sixth trumpet would even point as late as the throne line station of September 3–6, 2020, which is also the end of the covenant sign and thus a likely point when Elijah should be confirmed.

In fact, the actions to be performed concerning the altar of incense give further evidence of this. According to the Mishnah, on the Day of Atonement the high priest would put the coals from the altar in a specific place:

When he reached the Ark he put the pan of burning coals between the two poles. He heaped up the incense upon the coals and the whole house became full with smoke.[33]

As seen in the sign of the ark of the covenant, the poles are represented by the throne lines. Thus, the “fire” of Elijah (or the “coals” of Ezekiel) should be placed “between the two poles,” or between September 3 and September 6, 2020, which leaves either September 4 or 5.

The filling of the house with smoke is an important marker, because Revelation associates this point with the plagues:

And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. (Revelation 15:8)

This verse comes immediately prior to the outpouring of the seven last plagues, which means that whatever form of fire the prophecies are talking about, the seven last plagues will be poured out again in the POWER and to the GLORY of God. We have seen the warnings get stronger and stronger and the crises of the world get deeper and more serious, but finally the warning signs are overtaken by actual consequences.

This is when the coronavirus vaccine is expected to become available,[34] and meanwhile the “second wave” is coming up. It will be worse,[35] not only in terms of death rate, but in terms of the responses of the authorities, who will use extreme measures to combat the problem in the face of multiple other crises. Some areas of the globe are already simmering from war.[36] Money will fail, and food supplies will vanish. According to Byron Searle,[37] this famine, like the famine of Egypt, will begin after “seven weeks” (instead of the seven years in Joseph’s time). You don’t have eight weeks from now—just seven—and if you count them out on your calendar, you’ll come to the September 3–6 throne lines on the Orion clock when the famine will begin. Perhaps the fire of Elijah will burn up all the financial markets and reduce the world’s wealth overnight!?

Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. (James 5:1)

However, in every time of extremity God has a plan for His people, and just like Joseph spent seven years gathering up food for the famine, God has made spiritual and physical provision for His people today.

Even this is part of the story of comet NEOWISE, which (though invisible) will come to the feet of Virgo at that time.

Weeping for Tammuz

Another indication that the fulfillment of Elijah’s challenge must likely come on a date no later than September 3–6 is the fact that to the children of Israel, the fire on the altar gave the proof that the God of Elijah was the true God, and therefore Elijah could slay the prophets of Baal and Asherah. The previous article explained that a certain “hour” would begin at the throne lines of September 3–6, 2020, when the slaughter angels of Ezekiel would commence their work, and in the story of Elijah, this would correspond to the slaying of the priests of Baal after the sign from God.

This brings into a new perspective the “weeping for Tammuz” as one of the abominations that led to the slaughter of Ezekiel 9:

Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. (Ezekiel 8:14–15)

This was not the last abomination to be seen and must clearly come before the slaughter. The Carmel Challenge of 2015 was set in the context of the delivery of the law of God on Mt. Sinai because of the move to protect same-sex marriage and to establish LGBT tolerance and non-discrimination laws around the globe and especially in the United States at that time. Such laws are against God’s law, which defines the marriage protected in the seventh commandment as between a man and a woman in the fifth commandment.

As we revisit these things today in light of how the ark of the covenant and the law of God have been opened in the heavens,[38] it is clear that the experience of the children of Israel when Moses came down from Mt. Sinai with his face shining, holding the two tables of the Ten Commandments in his hands, is indeed the correct context. This is the story that the worldwide church (“spiritual Israel”) is now living, as in 2015. The text of the Fire at Mount Carmel article mentioned this in its closing words (emphasis added):

Strive with all your might to be among the 144,000; they will win the final battle for the true Ruler of the Universe, because of their perfect love. It is the self-sacrificing, selfless love of Jesus, which is reflected in their faces like it was with Moses when he came down from Mount Sinai.

Note the emphasis on self-sacrificing love, which is essential to fully reflect the character of Jesus. The face of Moses shined because he had been in the presence of the Lord enough to reflect His sacrificial attitude. These are deep spiritual lessons that are expounded in other articles, such as in the series entitled The Sacrifice of Philadelphia and even the article that issued the Carmel Challenge itself. For Moses, this sacrificial attitude was put to the test when he came down from Mt. Sinai with the first tables of stone and found that the children of Israel had corrupted themselves with the golden calf, for which reason Moses broke the two tables of the testimony.

This “golden calf” episode, which represents choosing another god in place of the true God, is remarkably similar to what happened with Seventh-day Adventists in 2015 when they voted for a kingly power structure. Other churches did the same, by signing cooperative agreements with the Catholic Church, thus also making the pope their head. Remember all the charisma around Tony Palmer and his initiative to end Protestantism? That’s what it was about!

As in the days of Samuel, choosing a king was a rejection of God’s rulership:

And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. (1 Samuel 8:7)

So, on July 8, 2015, the last big church that had once protested against the apostasy of Rome added to their sins rebellion against God with their “golden calf” at the very time when they should have been ready to receive the law of God—the transcript of His sacrificial character—that (in an alternate reality) might have benefited them to finish their mission on earth. They could have recognized that marriage is as sacred as the Sabbath and that it would be worth making any sacrifice necessary—even giving up their 501(c)(3) status and the financial benefits associated with it—to stay in harmony with God’s law.

Instead, they thought they could walk the fine line between truth and lies. Taking the moral high road would have strengthened the church to raise its voice against the apostasy of the entire United States for its Supreme Court ruling that made sodomy a nationally protected sin on June 26, 2015, less than two weeks earlier (and by example, the U.S. led other countries to do the same). Perhaps their energies could have brought an awareness and averted the judgments of God, in “what might have been.” Instead, the nation has gone even further in sin, this year (also at the end of June) on the issue of abortion.[39]

Israel’s national calamity of the breaking of the tables of stone is traditionally remembered as one of the five calamities (the first even) that befell the Jewish people on the seventeenth day of the month of Tammuz.

The Seventeenth of Tammuz is a Jewish fast day commemorating the breach of the walls of Jerusalem before the destruction of the Second Temple. It falls on the 17th day of the 4th Hebrew month of Tammuz and marks the beginning of the three-week mourning period leading up to Tisha B’Av.

The day also traditionally commemorates the destruction of the two tablets of the Ten Commandments and other historical calamities that befell the Jewish people on the same date.

The Seventeenth of Tammuz occurs forty days after the Jewish holiday of Shavuot. Moses ascended Mount Sinai on Shavuot and remained there for forty days. The Children of Israel made the Golden Calf on the afternoon of the sixteenth of Tammuz when it seemed that Moses was not coming down when promised. Moses descended the next day (forty days by his count), saw that the Israelites were violating many of the laws he had received from God, and smashed the tablets.[40]

This day of mourning, or “weeping” in the month of “Tammuz” calls to mind the aforementioned prophecy:

Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. (Ezekiel 8:14–15)

Through the clock of God, this verse connects the abomination in the Lord’s house with the return of the churches to Roman leadership (even Jesuit) under Pope Francis. This apostasy, which God calls abomination, affects all churches and even the whole world, just as Israel’s departure from God would have quenched the Light of life from the whole world, had there not been a remnant.

This connection to Ezekiel has an important meaning because it gives the timing and reasons why the angels with the slaughter weapons are later commanded to smite in the city. It is because of the terrible deeds and decisions that were made by the churches in 2014 and 2015 that God will soon visit the churches and the nation with fire. And it means that the slaughter is surely very close to beginning, as explained in The Hour of Escape.

High Sabbath Adventists know how to calculate when a particular date on the biblical calendar falls, because they learned how to defend their faith by proving that Jesus died on Friday, May 25 in AD 31. If you cannot do this, then how can you be sure that He died for your sins at all? There are many false and contradictory theories about when Christ died, but if it cannot be proven without doubt according to the biblical evidence, then how sure is the foundation of one’s faith? His great sacrifice must be the wellspring of a living faith, and that is the essence of Elijah’s call back to God and back to our Lord who died for us, as symbolized by the sacrifice on the altar.

So, it is simply the case that if the abominations of July 8, 2015 are connected to Tammuz 17, then we should be curious to know when Tammuz 17 falls. Could it have fallen on the day of the Carmel Challenge itself, on July 8, 2015?

For that to have been the case, the new moon would have had to have been sighted 17 days earlier than July 8, which would have been June 21 (!). Could a new moon have been sighted on June 21 in the year 2015, when the Carmel Challenge took place? Using a suitable program,[41] one can calculate the nearest possible moon sightings to find out if such a “coincidence” could have happened. Roughly, the result is in the range of June 16–18… close to June 21, but not close enough.

How about the following years? Could it be that God is pointing to the year of the fulfillment of the challenge? You can calculate the results yourself:

  • 2016: July 4–6… way off.

  • 2017: June 23–25… close to June 21, but still out of range again.

  • 2018: June 13–15… far away.

  • 2019: July 2–4… way off.

  • 2020: June 21–23… A June 21 sighting is IN RANGE!

Isn’t that amazing—the first possibility of sighting a new moon on June 21 for the month of Tammuz, so that Tammuz 17 might coincide with July 8 and thus complete “Elijah’s” challenge, so happens to fall exactly five years (the typical length of the General Conference term) after the church was challenged for its abomination in 2015!

However, the dates from June 21 to 23 are only possibilities. Following through to perform the exact calculation indicates that the moon would have been visible as of June 22, as confirmed by eyewitnesses in Jerusalem who sighted the moon on June 22 after sunset.[42] That would make that night and the following day, June 23, the first day of the fourth month (Tammuz). The 17th day would then be July 9, 2020, and not July 8. Is there still something missing?

We are speaking about the beginning of the greatest divine judgment ever seen in modern times. Would God leave any uncertainty as to His intentions, or doubt about His divine timing? The modern-day Elijah summoned Ted Wilson, the leaders of all Protestant churches, and the WHOLE OF CHRISTIANITY to account. That means there must be a reason plain enough for the whole world to see, for why the moon could be sighted a day earlier, on June 21.

You know the answer… Just ask yourself: did you see the moon on June 21, 2020—which normally would have been totally impossible because it was then still a totally black astronomical new moon!? But, of course! There was a solar eclipse on June 21, which means the moon was SEEN overlapping the sun!

The Times of Israel: Rare ‘ring of fire’ solar eclipse dims skies across Israel

In Israel, this “moon” only partly covered the sun, which even resulted in the sun assuming the shape of a crescent as its brightness silhouetted the moon. Everyone who saw this eclipse on Sunday, June 21, 2020 is witness to the sighting of the new moon, which is, in the biblical sense, the beginning of the new month! This would bring Tammuz 17 to July 8 to point to the year 2020 as the year when the wrath of God will begin for the abominations of the church and the Carmel Challenge will be fulfilled. And that is in addition to comet NEOWISE appearing at that time to indicate this year as the year of fulfillment!

Will you be among those who confess the true God, and Elijah as His servant? Will you take up the weapons of spiritual warfare and slay the counterfeits with the truth?

And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God. And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there. (1 Kings 18:39–40)

The True Gift on the Altar

It was to God that Elijah pointed the people, and it was the Son of God that the sacrifice on the altar foreshadowed. A holy and sinless Being was required as the Substitute for humanity; any blemished sacrifice would not have been able to atone for mankind, because mankind was created without sin, and to restore the sinner to a sinless condition required a sinless Substitute. Anything short of that would have fallen short of eradicating all sin from the soul of the believer.

The fire of God was the sign that God had accepted the sacrifice, that it was deemed spotless, and that its innocence was accepted on behalf of (in Elijah’s case) the congregation. Thus, it was not only a sign to show who is the true God, but also to reconcile the people to God by a demonstration that Elijah’s sacrifice was accepted, and they could be brought back into favor with God as a result, and receive the blessing of rain that was so desperately needed after the three and a half years of drought. Even the stones of the altar were consumed by the fire because no additional sacrifices were needed—it was sufficient, and the covenant (symbolized by the 12 stones) had been ratified.

An accepted sacrifice is a sacrifice worthy of imitation.[43] When a minister of Christ goes out to reach others with the message of salvation, his lips must tell of Christ and Him crucified.[44] This is what the clock of God teaches in so many ways, and as the sign of the ark of the covenant comes to its conclusion on September 3–6, 2020, we must inquire as to the meaning of such an emblem of holiness.

The baptism of Jesus In Part II of The Mystery of the Holy City, it was discovered that Jesus was baptized on September 4, AD 27—the anniversary of which now falls right in between the throne lines of the clock! This date in AD 27 was a great enigma that, once solved, proved to be of the utmost significance.

Baptism represents (among other things) one’s personal and public decision to renounce one’s sinful past (which Jesus did not have!) and walk in the way of righteousness. It represents a death and rebirth in Christ, which of course hinges on His Sacrifice. For a Christian, it is the decision to “take up one’s cross and follow Him.”[45]

Comet NEOWISE, by the way, was discovered on the night of March 27, 2020. This was the eve of Brother John’s decision in 1999 to give his life to God for service, as well as when he received the dream in 2003 that brought him to study for baptism, and when in 2004 he pledged to travel to the place of many waters.[46] He was baptized on July 12, 2003, which in that year fell on Tammuz 11 according to the biblical calendar, and this year, Tammuz 11 falls on July 3, 2020—the perihelion of comet NEOWISE, when it was “baptized by fire” as it passed the sun! This symbolizes how the second anointed one (Gabriel) left heaven as a covering cherub, came from God down to the earth (like NEOWISE came from the sun), served to restore the truth of God in the earth, and is soon to depart again. These are all moments of decision that connect this comet to the mission of the last Elijah.

For Jesus, however, baptism had a different significance than it does to sinners. He had no sin to be washed away, but He was baptized “to fulfill all righteousness,”[47] because it represented His public decision to enter into ministry on behalf of humanity, to complete the mission for which He was sent. At His baptism, God acknowledged Jesus as His own Son.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:16–17)

Like all other people, Jesus had to grow up and come to the realization of what His purpose in life was. He understood the meaning of the sacrificial lamb when He reasoned with the doctors of the law in Jerusalem, but by His baptism, He accepted the call to sacrifice. Thus began His work, a work that on earth would culminate in the greatest and most selfless demonstration of love ever known. Through His sacrifice, Jesus won the victory over Satan on behalf of humanity.

If Elijah’s sixth-trumpet challenge were to reach its complete fulfillment at the sixth plague station in the present cycle of the Orion clock (September 3–6, 2020, as we saw), then this alignment of Jesus’ (Gregorian) baptism anniversary of September 4 with the throne lines of the clock must have a deep significance.

This is amplified by the fact that Bellatrix also pointed directly to the beginning of the Passion Week anniversary (May 20, 2020) while the crescent moon marked the anniversary of His crucifixion (May 25, 2020). We are very close to the heart of Elijah, because it was the beautiful study of Christ in Gethsemane and the date of His crucifixion that laid the sure foundation upon which the calendar and clocks of God can be understood.

The cross of Christ will be the science and the song of the redeemed through all eternity. In Christ glorified they will behold Christ crucified. Never will it be forgotten that He whose power created and upheld the unnumbered worlds through the vast realms of space, the Beloved of God, the Majesty of heaven, He whom cherub and shining seraph delighted to adore—humbled Himself to uplift fallen man… {GC 651.2}

No other date carries as much significance as May 25, AD 31, especially for the Elijah movement, and it was exactly on the anniversary of that date in 2020 that the racial war was triggered in Minneapolis, causing black America to rise up in violent protests. This also fulfilled another aspect of the sixth trumpet prophecy, which speaks of an army 200 million strong.

And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. (Revelation 9:15–16)

The elusive identity of this army can finally be known in the context of what happened on May 25, 2020. The United Nations officially names this army in its 2015-2024 “International Decade for People of African Descent”:

In proclaiming this Decade, the international community is recognizing that people of African descent represent a distinct group whose human rights must be promoted and protected. Around 200 million people identifying themselves as being of African descent live in the Americas. Many millions more live in other parts of the world, outside of the African continent.

Thus, the UN itself provides the number that John heard in the vision, and this army was mobilized on May 25, 2020 with the killing of George Floyd. And what is the strength of this army? The Bible tells us:

For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. (Revelation 9:19)

The “mouth” is where the voice comes from, and that African Americans have power in their voice is self-evident; Black Lives Matter and many other organizations exist solely to give a voice to this army.

Prophecy has many layers of meaning, and various elements of the sixth trumpet that have been interpreted in the past still apply,[48] while other aspects are now coming to light in the present context. Africans are known for their lion masks and the vibrant yellow and blue traditional colors:

And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire [red], and of jacinth [blue], and brimstone [yellow]: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. (Revelation 9:17)

The Bible goes on to name the predominant sins of this demographic:

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. (Revelation 9:20–21)

Islam also has a role here, as many Africans are also Muslims, especially in the northern regions. God is no respecter of persons, and He does not speak lightly of sin just because it is committed by a minority group. It is also the case that the coronavirus has taken a worse toll on African Americans than others. “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”[49]

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? (Ezekiel 18:23)

The grace of the Lord is sufficient for everyone who desires to be free from sin—African or otherwise—so no one has an excuse. If hereditary tendencies are strong, Christ is stronger.

George Floyd was not a martyr, but he was indeed a sacrifice: the antitypical sacrifice on Baal’s altar, which all those kneeling in solidarity with him have bowed to. Even the expression “Black Lives Matter” after Gorge Floyd’s death is a defiant assertion that the sacrifice on Baal’s altar should be respected. Nevertheless, the message of the modern Elijah was confirmed by the outbreak of riots in connection with the date of the crucifixion, the date that is at the center of the message.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34)

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)

But the story of Jesus isn’t over with His death on the cross! The throne line on the right side of the clock that marks the beginning of the sign of the ark of the covenant points to April 27, 2020. This was the seventh anniversary of the sign of Jonah—the brightest light ever known by mankind—which happened on Sabbath, April 27, 2013. A correct understanding of God’s calendar enables us to determine not only Gregorian anniversary dates, but also anniversaries of biblical, Hebrew dates. On the biblical calendar, April 27, 2013, was the day of the wave sheaf, which signifies the resurrection of our Lord. And because that special feast day fell on a Sabbath in 2013, that made it a virtual High Sabbath.[50]

Now with three dates on the clock pointing to the three most important events in the life of Jesus—Baptism, Passion, and Resurrection—we are starting to see a cohesive picture forming.

The ministry of Jesus

Considering that the clock is running backwards (counterclockwise), we have a “reversed” sequence, showing the life of Jesus in review, and it appears that the entire top half of the clock is involved. This is the same span of time occupied by the sign of the ark of the covenant, because Jesus fulfilled the whole law through His life of selfless service for others.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (Matthew 5:17)

In a similar way, God’s people can learn from the clock how to walk in service to others and thus keep His law too. Jesus came as our Example to teach us how to overcome sin and live out the principles of the law in our own life.[51]

But what about Betelgeuse? What extremely significant event could have happened on a June 22, sometime within His life of ministry, that could correspond to the center point and Shekinah glory in the ark symbolism?

In light of the entire ark of the covenant sign—with the covering cherubim included—one can infer what great event is signified here: the Transfiguration.

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. (Matthew 17:1–3)

The scene beheld by Peter, James, and John was a representation of the Kingdom of Heaven, much like the three beings present at the ark of the covenant: God in the middle with two angels, one on either side.

Moses upon the mount of transfiguration was a witness to Christ’s victory over sin and death. He represented those who shall come forth from the grave at the resurrection of the just. Elijah, who had been translated to heaven without seeing death, represented those who will be living upon the earth at Christ’s second coming, and who will be “changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump;” when “this mortal must put on immortality,” and “this corruptible must put on incorruption.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. Jesus was clothed with the light of heaven, as He will appear when He shall come “the second time without sin unto salvation.” For He will come “in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Hebrews 9:28; Mark 8:38. The Saviour’s promise to the disciples was now fulfilled. Upon the mount the future kingdom of glory was represented in miniature,—Christ the King, Moses a representative of the risen saints, and Elijah of the translated ones. {DA 421.4}

Although the three disciples who witnessed this event thought it meant that Jesus was about to establish His reign on Earth, it had a different purpose. Jesus had taken them up the mountain to seek strength from God for both Himself and His disciples before His death.

But before the crown must come the cross. Not the inauguration of Christ as king, but the decease to be accomplished at Jerusalem, is the subject of their conference with Jesus.... These men, chosen above every angel around the throne, had come to commune with Jesus concerning the scenes of His suffering, and to comfort Him with the assurance of the sympathy of heaven. The hope of the world, the salvation of every human being, was the burden of their interview. {DA 422.2}

Thus, this important event in the life of Jesus not only follows the sequence in the clock, but it is directly related to the Passion of Christ, linking the Betelgeuse and Bellatrix points together as the focus of this pictorial view of the character of Christ and His love for humanity shown in the heavens. But in our order of time, the cross of May 25 was followed by the crown of June 21. Jesus died once, and now He is returning as King of kings.

Here at the highest point on the clock, we see Jesus as the great Gift on the altar. This is the One who modern Elijah has always been pointing to, ever since he began to build his house upon that Rock in He was wounded for our transgressions 2010 with the Orion message (centered in the wounded One[52]) and especially the Gethsemane study, first published (in German) in September of the year 2010—ten years prior to the September throne lines of 2020, when the date of Jesus’ crucifixion was found and proven. What other study is such a nail in a sure place?[53] And as compensation for his work, which should have been received with joy and approved and supported by the ablest Bible researchers of the world, Elijah reaped persecution and suffered aggressive censoring of this light. But this truth will stand through every tempest, because it is founded on Jesus Christ and Him crucified.[54]

But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. (Acts 5:39)

Thus, it is very fitting that this top segment of the clock corresponds to the church of Smyrna, as shown in the Orion presentation.[55] Smyrna is the faithful church that was called to sacrifice their lives for Him:

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Revelation 2:10)

Ten days for the ten years of the Orion message, and hence the legacy of Smyrna.

Therefore, as the preparatory sixth trumpet pointed to the sixth preparatory plague, so the loud sixth trumpet points to the beginning of the ministry of Christ at the left throne lines of September 3–6, 2020, and the entire ministry of Christ—life, death, and resurrection—that spans the entire top half of the clock. Especially in focus is His sacrifice, which was the culmination of His entire ministry, and from a human perspective, the greatest victory over Satan ever made.

Whether in anguish or in the glory of His transfiguration, Jesus was ever thinking of others, even under the weight of His own burdens and that suffering that none other has ever known. God’s children are also the burden of today’s Elijah, because as Jesus was taken away from the world, so “Elijah” will also be taken away (it is only a question of how it might be fulfilled and when), and there will be a hunger for the word of God in the land. Since he must depart, he is also thinking of those who will stay behind—like Elisha—to cross back over the Jordan and continue the work under terrible national and international circumstances.

And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay. Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. (1 Kings 19:17–18)

Elijah had already slain the priests of Baal and Asherah on Mt. Carmel, but there was still more work of reformation to do in Israel. Today the prophets everywhere are saying “the church is not ready, the church is not ready,” and they are generally right. Is the church ready to sacrifice like Christ did? Is it ready to sacrifice like Philadelphia did, to forego the rapture in order to seek and save the lost in a time of tribulation? We would also say, “the church is not ready.”

The Mirror

In the symbolism of the ark of the covenant, Jesus and Gabriel stand as the two witnesses or two anointed ones that cover the mercy seat with their wings, like Moses and Elijah stood in the scene of the Transfiguration. It was Jesus who died on the cross without bringing His children into the heavenly Promised Land, like Moses died on Mt. Nebo, and Jesus rose again and ascended to the Father like Moses was resurrected and taken to heaven. (Joshua, a type for the second anointed one, later led the children of Israel into Canaan.)

The invisible clock hand By contrast, Elijah was the one who was taken up to heaven alive and corresponds to the second anointed one, or second witness, who should be taken away from the earth and raptured to heaven alive. The sign of the ark of the covenant provides more insight into this, because it shows a mirror-like sequence of events (see picture), and the ones that pertain to Jesus have already been fulfilled as an example for us.

In particular, there is a curious feature of the sign: the Orion clock points to the anniversary of the beginning of the Passion Week on May 20, 2020, while the Mazzaroth (via the new moon) points to the anniversary of the crucifixion itself on May 25.

Reflected on the left side is the new moon of July 23, 2020—which would correspond to the crucifixion—but where is the clock-line of the Orion clock (dotted line in picture) that points to the associated “triumphal event” corresponding to Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem?

Clearly there is something to be discovered here. Could the Elijah-comet offer any clues, considering that it makes its closest approach to the earth on July 23? We already saw how the key dates of comet NEOWISE all point to the life of Brother John, including the fact that on July 23, 2020, the sun and moon are in Cancer and Leo, respectively, pointing to Brother John’s birth signs as explained in Treasures of the Lost Ark.

If these constellations (which define his spiritual tribe and apostle according to the Holy City study) marked his arrival into this world as a human being, could they not also be in this context an indication that the time has come for his departure from the church, like Elijah who was carried away in a fiery whirlwind? Time will tell exactly what transpires on that day, but at least we should expect the pattern given on the other side of the clock to indicate something that would be either similar or in contradistinction to the crucifixion of Jesus.

Furthermore, we learn from mirroring the May 20, 2020 clock hand that something corresponding to Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem must be reflected on the left side. This “hidden” clock hand has been known for a long time, and it is supported by the discovery of the High Sabbath List,[56] which corroborates all of the Orion clock’s clock hands plus the events of 1888-1890 which are not marked by a star hand in Orion—those fateful years when the Seventh-day Adventist Church was standing on the borders of Canaan after spying out the land.

Two of the spies (A.T. Jones and E.G. Waggoner) brought back a good report, but the congregation refused to go up and possess the land. The comparison with the entering of Canaan was made in the General Conference Bulletin of 1892, the words attributed to Ellen G. White:[57]

“I saw that Jones and Waggoner had their counterpart in Joshua and Caleb. As the children of Israel stoned the spies with literal stones, you have stoned these brethren with stones of sarcasm and ridicule. I saw that you willfully rejected what you knew to be truth, just because it was too humiliaring to your dignity. I saw some of you in your tents mimicking and making all manner of fun of these two brethren. I also saw that if you had accepted their message, we would have been in the kingdom two years from that date, but now we have to go back into the wilderness and there stay forty years.” GCB May 9, 1892 (Melbourne, Australia).

“Two years from that date” (i.e. the 1888 Minneapolis conference) would be the year 1890 when Jesus would have come.On the borders of Canaan If one compares where these judgment-cycle-era dates fall on the clock with respect to the presently running cycle, one finds a date range from July 29, 2020 to August 1, 2020 corresponding to the years 1888 to 1890, which provides the needed clock hand for the corresponding “triumphal” event.

The question is, to which of the indicated days should the line be drawn?

Earlier, we saw that comet NEOWISE and the story of Elijah are closely connected to the “weeping for Tammuz,” which begins the Jews’ three-week mourning period for the destruction of the temple. The culmination of this period of mourning is on Tisha B’Av (the 9th of Av) which falls on July 31 in 2020, right in the middle of the 1888 to 1890 date range. To be exact, it corresponds to the year 1889, one year before the mark for the possible coming of Jesus. The angel Gabriel came to bring the church back to the borders of Canaan after the wilderness wandering! And now that his work is done, it could be time to depart—as it is also reported that NEOWISE will no longer be visible to the naked eye around the end of July.[58] It will have receded back into the heavens where it came from.

This has very deep implications. It was also Tisha B’Av when the Israelites first refused to enter the Promised Land.

And the Lord heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers….And ye returned and wept before the Lord; but the Lord would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you. (Deuteronomy 1:34–35, 45)

Those who have rejected salvation afresh will in no wise enter the heavenly Canaan. They have all died, spiritually, while the innocent ones—like the Israelite children—can now take the message of the angel from heaven and confidently conquer the land that is before them.

God has prepared everything for His body, but one thing is still in the way: the old temple. It needs to be destroyed and cleared out of the way so His new body of believers can stand and worship Him in spirit and in truth, in place of the faithless. The destruction of the ancient temple in Jerusalem spanned several days from Av 7 to Av 10, with the burning of the temple itself on Av 9. If you compare those dates with the Gregorian calendar, the entire range corresponds to exactly the span from July 29 to August 1 shown above, marked on the clock as the 1888 to 1890 dates.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

Have not the voices of YouTube been saying these things, even without understanding the full implications? For example, “rodyd61169” spoke about these times in his video entitled “Urgent Alert To Imminent Rapture”, and “REVELATIONCHAPTER12dotCOM” spoke extensively about the significance of Av 9 in his video Destroy THIS Temple - 9 Av, 2020. He even recognized a connection to the blinding of (or putting out the eyes of) the spiritual leaders, without realizing the full depth of what it means and that the heavenly signs show this:

Blindness strikes the church

On exactly Av 9, the constellation of Cancer (which stands for the church) is blinded by the brightness of the sun, while the other eye was darkened shortly before by the moon (also blind). This is not a common occurrence; it is a sign of what has happened to the church and what is just ahead. Those who do not walk in the light of present truth[59] will be left in total darkness.

The Work of Elijah’s Servant

In Time No Longer, Brother John wrote that October 5, 2020 (the Saiph point on the clock) would be the coming of Jesus, and he was perfectly correct in so saying, because the coming of Jesus is not instantaneous. The last cycle of God’s clock is the last “hour” of the “day” (the year from the Betelgeuse point of June 22, 2020 to the Saiph point of June 21, 2021) of Christ’s coming. Hence, the time of His coming is referred to in scripture as the “day AND hour,” which is to be proclaimed by those who come in the spirit and power of the Elijah who indeed announced the day and “hour” of Christ’s coming in his last article.

God leads His people step by step into all truth. The prophetic description of Christ’s coming is found in Revelation 19, which describes Him in heaven followed by an army. The church of God is comparable to a faithful woman held in bondage on this earth to an evil villain (Satan) who holds her for a ransom. Jesus Christ is coming as her Savior, to raise the church’s faithful of all the ages from their prison house of death and take them together with the living saints to His home where they will be safe. However, this cannot happen without the greatest battle! And to win this battle, Christ calls upon His church to follow Him and obey His voice, or else she will not only lose her own soul but risk His life too.

The need to fight the battle successfully shows that the second coming is not just a moment but requires an amount of time. Because of this battle, the sixth plague closes with the gathering of the people:

And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. (Revelation 16:16)

As explained above in the section Elijah’s Prayer and its Answer, the Carmel Challenge of the sixth trumpet has its fulfillment at the sixth plague station of the clock, namely the left throne lines. The article series Coronageddon and the Silver Trumpet was deliberately named to emphasize that the battle of Armageddon began with the appearance of the coronavirus right on time at the left throne lines in the second cycle of the plague clock. The war is already on! However, the altar symbolism wasn’t completed until the third round of the plague clock, and thus the worst is still to come from September 3–6 on, the same point on the clock. Now we know that this is exactly when the coronavirus vaccine is expected to become available,[60] and thus the “hour” of temptation will begin. Will this hyped-up topic be successful in causing God’s children to fall from the moral high ground of His law? Or will they uphold the Ten Commandments AND walk blamelessly in the sight of men, even at the peril of their life or health? The half “hour” of silence in heaven will be awfully dreadful as the whole universe watches with bated breath to see the outcome of the final spiritual battle that will decide the entire war.

The offset in hour beginnings Use the time wisely. Learn from Elijah how to watch and pray, how to understand God and hear His voice. That is why there is an offset between the beginnings of the “hour” of temptation and the “hour” of Christ’s return, so that one can use at least that short space of time to learn from Elijah and be briefed for the battle before running into the fray for the rest of the cycle.

The silence in heaven pertains to the seventh seal, which means this phase of the battle is the culmination of the entire book of seven seals. Eternal destinies will be decided and inexhaustible rewards will be won or lost—and the greatest stake in the battle is held by God the Father, personally. Do you know who you are fighting for? Do you understand that this stretch of time is the pinnacle and focal point of the entire controversy between good and evil? Only with God, and only in perfect obedience to His law can the victory be obtained, and therefore the law has been presented in the sign of the ark of the covenant.

From what has been understood thus far, the chiastic opening and closing of the seals of Revelation can now be presented in a slightly updated form, beginning with the silence in heaven of the seventh seal at the top:

The Sevenfold Seal

The sixth seal can be understood as spanning a slightly wider timeframe than the seventh, counting on the “earthquake” (literal or figurative) coming according to the clock on the September 3–6, 2020 throne lines, with the seal closing with the appearance of Jesus as signified in the text.[61]

The fifth seal ending has been updated to indicate the separate judgment and vengeance for the martyrs’ blood. The judgment began with the coronavirus in December of 2019 and runs two “hours” on the clock (a double reward), and the vengeance upon the wicked follows the departure of the righteous.

The post-millennial dates have also been revised according to the latest knowledge.

Revelation 18 describes the fall of Babylon and the total financial ruin of the world economies. It is already a fact that the coronavirus crisis has precipitated a financial crisis, so the “house of cards” is due to collapse at any moment. Will the collapse also mark the beginning of the “hour” of temptation in September?

Meanwhile, in contrast to the entirely earthly setting of chapter 18, another view of the “hour” is given in chapter 19. It begins with voices in heaven—the expressions of praise and victory on the part of those who belong to the kingdom of God. This corresponds to the “victory shout” explained in the previous article, which just precedes the crumbling of Babylon.

Then the next clock cycle begins with the distinctive description of the white horse, which corresponds to the star Saiph:

And I saw heaven opened [an Orion keyword[62]], and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. (Revelation 19:11)

Thus begins the last round of the clock, the “hour” of Jesus’ coming, and it is at this point that God’s army must conquer Babylon.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (Revelation 19:14)

It is not a battle of flesh and blood, but of SPIRITUAL principalities and powers. It is about moral cleanliness, purity, and righteousness. Yes, Jesus fights for His people, but He also fights WITH them and THROUGH them! Every member of the church has a part to act and foes to fight in this last battle, and victory comes only through Christ and His righteousness as appropriated to the church body through repentance and obedience.

In studying types, we are faced with the recurring question: “How far does the type go, in its representation of the antitype?” The victory on Mt. Carmel was not over until the thirsty land had been watered by rain again, and here we have another important biblical number:

And [Elijah] said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand… (From 1 Kings 18:43–44)

The “small black cloud” is a sign of Jesus’ return.

Soon our eyes were drawn to the east, for a small black cloud had appeared, about half as large as a man’s hand, which we all knew was the sign of the Son of man. {EW 15.2}

According to the type, this means the church must look out for the sign of the Son of man seven times after the Carmel Challenge itself. This accounts for the seven segments of the clock (seven plagues) from September 3–6, 2020 until the sight appears. As the world falls apart at the seams, this will be no easy time. Day followed by night followed by day will bring one horror upon another, and God’s children will have to trust and follow Him in a world that is becoming completely enveloped in darkness.

The next article will offer a glimpse of the waymarks and heavenly signs for the period to follow, but the children of God must learn to depend on Him and hear His voice for themselves, because Elijah will not always be able to relay the words of God to the people like Moses did. Therefore, redeem the time and use every opportunity to learn and teach others now.

Knowing that the sign of the Son of man is the appearance of a black hole, it is interesting that just now as this article about Elijah is being written, science is venturing to find evidence of a “grapefruit sized” black hole within our solar system.[63] The numbers and the absence of a visible planet that could explain them means the likelihood that one exists is very high—high enough to warrant scientists’ searching for it.[64] If seen, this would be the “small black cloud” “about half as large as a man’s hand” that was prophesied.

What will this black hole mean, however, when it becomes visible to everyone? The wicked, who have chosen darkness over light, will see nothing but doom ahead of them. As you watch the video below, you will be able to imagine very well what John saw in vision when he wrote that the heavens departed like a scroll:

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Revelation 6:14–17)

Who can survive a black hole? This is the fear of the wicked, who will know that all their dreams and hopes of a pleasurable future will end in a painful and remorseful end:

But to the righteous, this token, this sign—dark though it be at first—will be understood as the portal to the heavenly realms. They have purified their character in the blood of the Lamb and are able to go to the other side. It may appear at first to be an infinite darkness, and every soul will tremble in wonder, asking the question, “Am I clean?” But light will surround the saints like a rainbow and Jesus will appear as the door opens and the black hole transforms into a wormhole to the universe of light. The small black cloud grows into the great white cloud of Jesus’ coming.

He does not come down to the earth, but the saints can see Him as they are taken up to Him in the cloud. The next video offers a glimpse of what the journey might be like:

The door to another realm will open and the Lord will appear with His angels to reap the faithful from the earth.[65] One can now understand how Jesus will be seen in the cloud, yet He will not touch this defiled planet until after the millennium when He creates it anew.

Use the time wisely. Get ready, be ready, be holy! Teach others and turn as many to righteousness as is humanly possible, knowing that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,”[66] and “with God, all things are possible.”[67] No selfish streak will be allowed to blemish the love of heaven, so labor for others with all your strength and lean not on your own understanding. Take hold of the “new wisdom” that comes from above, the self-sacrificing love manifested in Jesus, and follow the example that He gave through His life and ministry. Fill your lamps with oil so you can spend and be spent for others, lighting the way to Jesus.

Your own Via Dolorosa[68] awaits you, but if you are faithful in sacrificing like Jesus sacrificed, you will meet Him on the other side and hear from the Father, like He did, whether your work was accepted. No man is saved by works, but without works no man is saved. That is righteousness by faith in a nutshell, and it is only by faith that righteousness can come,[69] because without faith it is impossible to please God.[70] May the 144,000 overcome so fully as to reflect Christ until the words of the Father can be said of them, too:

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Mathew 3:17)

Selected Messages Book 1, p. 362.4 – The Beginning of the Loud Cry. Let every one who claims to believe that the Lord is soon coming, search the Scriptures as never before; for Satan is determined to try every device possible to keep souls in darkness, and blind the mind to the perils of the times in which we are living. Let every believer take up his Bible with earnest prayer, that he may be enlightened by the Holy Spirit as to what is truth, that he may know more of God and of Jesus Christ whom He has sent. Search for the truth as for hidden treasures, and disappoint the enemy. The time of test is just upon us, for the loud cry of the third angel has already begun in the revelation of the righteousness of Christ, the sin-pardoning Redeemer. This is the beginning of the light of the angel whose glory shall fill the whole earth. For it is the work of every one to whom the message of warning has come, to lift up Jesus, to present Him to the world as revealed in types, as shadowed in symbols, as manifested in the revelations of the prophets, as unveiled in the lessons given to His disciples and in the wonderful miracles wrought for the sons of men. Search the Scriptures; for they are they that testify of Him.
